I installed the plugin but do not see it showing up in my dashboard on the left side as your documentation describes.
I am able to access some of the features by going to plugins and then clicking on the wp-affiliate settings but this only allows me access to some of the features.
I did notice that my version 4.6.1 appears to be the newest and perhaps it is a bug. Please let me know what I should change.
Regards,
Kyle
June 16, 2011 at 1:29 am #33416amin007ParticipantWhat version of WordPress are you using?
June 16, 2011 at 2:21 pm #33417kfugereMember3.1.3 I just upgraded and it didn’t work with prior version either.
June 17, 2011 at 1:11 am #33418amin007ParticipantVery weird… I have sent you an email to get site access so I can address this.
June 18, 2011 at 1:38 am #33419IvyMemberI had a look at your site. I tested the plugins and theme as this is usually the issue. The theme you are using is breaking the WP-Admin menu so after the theme options load nothing else in the side bar menu loads. You can test this by Activating the WordPress Default theme.
January 18, 2012 at 11:06 pm #33420workhorseMemberI am running into this same issue and have discovered it is the theme we are using breaking the WP-Admin menu. Is there any work around to this problem. Like a way to access all the other plugin features through the settings feature I can access in the WP plug-ins area?
Thank you
Jason
January 19, 2012 at 5:32 am #33421adminKeymasterThe answer to your question is no. Please don’t consider using a theme or plugin that breaks the WordPress admin side. If a theme or plugin does this then it also indicates that the coding of this product is very poor which means it probably has other security holes that you don’t want to keep on your site. This article is a good read:
Besides, in the future you will continue to have issues with any other plugin(s) that you may install with this theme.
October 7, 2013 at 1:26 am #33422fmacurMemberI just downloaded and installed the WYSIJA add-on. It does not show up in my dashboard in the left-hand menu as your documentation describes.
December 7, 2013 at 3:20 pm #33423jackazoidMemberSame problem here using WordPress 3.7.1. Plugin not showing and its not theme related because I’ve also checked with Twenty Twelve. It probably just needs an update. Any alternatives for now?
Tnx
December 7, 2013 at 3:44 pm #33424jackazoidMemberPff maybe mention that you have to install Wysija Newsletters first? Now it works.
December 7, 2013 at 10:42 pm #33425adminKeymasterSo the issue was that you are using the Wysija newsletter addon from us but you didn’t even have the Wysija newsletter plugin installed? I thought anyone using this addon would already have that plugin installed but I will add a note in the documentation for this.
January 31, 2014 at 11:05 pm #33426Jan WehnerMemberI have just installed WP Affiliate Platform v.5.7.6 with Simple PayPal Shopping Cart v 3.9.2.
There are 2 issues:
1. There is no “update options” button on the page so I am unable to save my settings.
2. The last section on the bottom of the page is the Affiliate Area/Center Related Options. It contains this message:
Index Page Message:
The following will appear on the index page of your affiliate portal
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_editor() in /home/veraxis/public_html/ariolealei.com/urlight/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/wp_affiliate_platform_menu.php on line 669
Please help as I cannot go further until I can save my settings.
January 31, 2014 at 11:43 pm #33427adminKeymasterSeems like (from that error) you are using a very old version of WordPress. What version of WordPress are you using?
February 1, 2014 at 1:13 am #33428Jan WehnerMemberWe are running WordPress 3.0. I have a message that we can update to WP 3.8. I have not done an update on WP before. I have also not done a backup for WP before.
I am reading the info on the WordPress site about backups and updating. If you have any specific advise or references for these processes, I would appreciate them.
Once I have backed up and updated my WP site, do I need to uninstall and then reinstall the WP Affiliate Platform? Or should it work properly with the updated WP?
February 1, 2014 at 1:21 am #33429adminKeymasterokay you should upgrade your WordPress version as soon as you can. The version that you are using is a few years old. After you upgrade wordpress, the plugin will start to work automatically.
You might want to check with your hosting provider if it is okay to upgrade WordPress because your one is really really old.
