Hi there,
I’m sure this is an obvious fix that I am unable to figure out.
When I click on a picture in my Gallery to preview, the preview is massive!!!

How can I make them smaller? I’ve tried changing the original dimensions of the file – no luck.
Any ideas? Please and thanks.
Ellen
November 18, 2013 at 11:23 pm #59001PeterMemberHi,
In the gallery settings page add a wtaremark and then set the “Watermarked Photo Width” value to something smaller (eg 600px). This will make your preview image smaller.
We will make the plugin more flexible in a future release by allowing for the adjustment of the preview image size even if no watermark is specified.

June 15, 2014 at 10:29 pm #59003fcamachoMemberHello, I have changed the value to different sizes and I always get the same size, and it is so big. How can I do it?
June 16, 2014 at 12:15 am #59004adminKeymasterPlease post a link to one of your gallery pages so we can view an example of what you mean.
June 16, 2014 at 12:44 pm #59005fcamachoMemberThese are 2 different examples, horizontal and vertical images:

I need smaller preview images.
June 16, 2014 at 10:30 pm #59006adminKeymasterWhat value have you used for the “Watermarked Max Preview Dimension” field for gallery 7? What happens if you turn off the zoom feature (temporarily)?
June 17, 2014 at 12:44 am #59007PeterMemberI have looked at the examples you have provided and the watermarked images have the following dimensions:
948x1422(px)
948x632(px)
So from the above it seems likely that you have probably set the “Watermarked Max Preview Dimension” to 948, OR, these are the original sizes and the resize operation is failing for some reason.
Can you please check the gallery settings to confirm this?
If the value is set to 948, try changing this field to something smaller such as 500 and try viewing the details page again.
Can you also enable debug if you haven’t done so already.
Go to Settings menu and scroll down to “Testing and Debugging” and set “Enable Logging” to “Yes”
June 17, 2014 at 5:46 am #59008fcamachoMemberThe watermarked max preview dimension value is 300 in both galleries. I do not know why it uses 948 px.
I turned off the zoom feature for gallery 7 but nothing changed (it is still turned off).
Testing and debugging are now enable.

July 9, 2014 at 10:54 am #59012scottyk49MemberHi Admin,
Any chance you could post what you did to fix this issue?
I am having the same issue. Doesn’t matter if i use lightbox or page view for the image once clicked in the thumbnails. All my images are exactly the same dimensions but some show up larger in the post thumbnail click screen. The watermark setting does not do anything when i change its dimensions. I have done all the things you mentioned previously too.
Thankyou.

July 10, 2014 at 2:25 am #59014scottyk49MemberHi, Here is the link to the gallery page
[http://scottify.id.au/?page_id=1098]
Some show up larger than other Light box images but all are same size and changing the watermark px size doesn’t do anything?
Cheers.
