Hi, I sell in several countries with eStore . So far I have created several stores, one for each currencies. But it’s a headache to add new products in each store, and I don’t see myself doing it when I will have even more currencies! This does not seem like the right solution. I’ve looked online and seen that Simple PP Shopping Cart had a multiple currencies extension. Isn’t there a similar extension for eStore?
Thanks.

Sorry, WP eStore does not have an option to allow your users to purchase in any currency they prefer (the currency of the store is set by the site admin). yes, the simple shopping cart does have a community version that has multi currency option (this version is not official though).
June 10, 2011 at 2:10 am #33184emueMemberThanks for responding. Is there any plans to add this extension in the future? I would be happy to pay for it.
I guess Simple cart does not work for digital products, right?

You will see most stores that sell in different currencies will have a localized version that deal in that currency (example: .us, .uk .au etc). If there is enough interest then I can look into investing time into it.
July 27, 2012 at 5:48 am #33186itzcoMemberHi,
Any news on this one? Would it be possible to autoupdate the exchange rate (As exchange rates are so crazy now)?
July 27, 2012 at 11:32 pm #33187adminKeymasterThere wasn’t interest in this unfortunately so we never invested time for it:

September 4, 2012 at 4:00 pm #33189Ellen St.George-GodfreyMemberWhile I’m based in the US, I have clients in Ireland and the UK. Being able to enable customers to buy in their home currency would be extremely helpful. Thank you.
September 12, 2012 at 2:34 pm #33190patbloomfieldMemberWe’re based in the UK but anticipate selling worldwide, so this would be a very good feature for us to have too.
With several carts on the market that work with multiple currencies, such as TomatoCart (probably not a good example as it’s not WordPress compatible), this is a feature users start to take for granted.
I know no other products are as comprehensive as eStore with its integration with eMember and Affiliate but I keep getting asked about this feature and why we can’t have it.
Would it be possible to run a poll and find out how many eStore users would like this feature?
I’m sure many users would be prepared to make a contribution towards its development

November 4, 2012 at 1:32 pm #33192SittingwellMemberWe are UK based company but looking to sell globally especially in the USA on top of our UK customer base. To have a duel currency button would be fantastic. We did hope this was already possible with eStore as our customers do prefer to pay in their own currency.
Please can you let us know if this is going to be an option any time soon?
November 5, 2012 at 5:11 am #33193adminKeymasterHandling multiple different currencies dynamically on the same site is not very trivial. We are working on an addon that will allow your customers to select a currency and all the prices will adjust according to the exchange rate between the primary and the chosen currency.
FYI – if you have a small number of products, you can sell them in different currencies using the “Buy Now” button already. The buy now button of eStore lets you specify a currency code on a per product basis. So you could make two different products (one for US dollar and one of UK currency) and then put two buy now buttons for them.
November 5, 2012 at 10:06 am #33194DMartinMemberThis would be awesome if people could select their currency dynamically on the same site. Is there a timeframe for development of this kind of functionality?
November 6, 2012 at 4:52 am #33195adminKeymasterHopefully in a few weeks time.
