I am trying to minimize clicks, it possible to do the following?
We are only using the free membership level… so I’m hoping that will make things less complicated.
Instead of going to the “Please Login to view this Content.(Not a member? Join Today!)” page.
Would it be possible to take them directly to the “Login” page?
Also, would it be possible to place the “Registration form” below the “Login form”.
So basically is would look like:
#login form#
Not a member yet? File out the form below to join today:
#registration form#
Is this possible?
February 29, 2012 at 11:52 pm #42505adminKeymasterYeah, create a WordPress page then place the login and registration shortcode like so:
[wp_eMember_login]
Not a member yet? File out the form below to join today:
[wp_eMember_registration]Now use the URL of this page for both the “Login Page” and “Registration Page” fields in the pages settings menu.
As long as you are not using a stylish login option, clicking on the “Login” link from any protected post or page will take them to this page you created.
March 2, 2012 at 2:01 am #42506TOEdotCOMMemberOkay, I got both forms on one page… BUT
I want to BYPASS the “Please Login to view this Content.(Not a member? Join Today!)” message on protected pages.
Instead I’d like to show the new page I just created (with both forms).
March 2, 2012 at 10:32 pm #42507adminKeymasterI am not sure I understand… If you have a protected post for example and an anonymous user lands on that page you don’t want to show the following message which hides the actual content of the post?
Please Login to view this Content.(Not a member? Join Today!)
March 8, 2012 at 5:05 pm #42508TOEdotCOMMemberI’m trying to eliminate an extra click… but maybe this isn’t possible.
I still want the pages protected… but INSTEAD of the message I want to give them the forms right away.
Right now, if a person lands on a protected page they are presenting with the message:
Please Login to view this Content.(Not a member? Join Today!)
At which point they must click on a link to “Login” or “Join Today”
I’m trying to eliminate this extra layer.
I don’t want them see that message and THEN have to click through to the forms. I want to show the Login form and Registration form as the FIRST thing they see when they land on a protected page. Hopefully I’m explaining that better.
March 8, 2012 at 11:24 pm #42509adminKeymasterI see what you mean. No, it is not possible to show the login and registration form everywhere there is protected content.
