Do you know if this plugin will work with eMember:
thanks
January 11, 2015 at 10:25 pm #67953wzpModeratorWe have never used that plugin so couldn’t tell you for sure.
Functionally, there seems to be some overlap, but no outright technical conflicts; because UserPro and eMember establish separate user control environments. However, you might experience operational and procedural conflicts in trying to reconcile how the two user environments interact with each other.
January 12, 2015 at 5:49 pm #67954happyatomMemberThank you – I chose that plugin because it was one of the few scoring consistently well on codecanyon but thought that there might be the operational and procedural issues you mentioned. Can you suggest any other approaches for social login / registration – the less friction there is for the potential member, the higher the conversion is my thinking.
January 12, 2015 at 10:50 pm #67955wzpModeratorThere are some FREE WordPress plugins like this, that will use a social media ID to log people into WordPress:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/oa-social-login/
All you’d have to do is make sure that eMember and WordPress are setup to automatically log into each other.

February 13, 2016 at 11:42 pm #67957wondervegasParticipantThat one doesn’t work.
February 14, 2016 at 11:30 pm #67958adminKeymasterWhich social login plugin are you using?
February 15, 2016 at 1:42 am #67959wondervegasParticipantNone of them work as of right now. Went through a half a dozen of them. Including the one above. Can’t get any of them to work. They all do the same thing.
February 15, 2016 at 4:48 am #67960wzpModeratorThey all do the same thing.
Please be more specific.
February 15, 2016 at 3:26 pm #67961wondervegasParticipantI’ve tried the following plugins:
- WordPress Social Login
- SocialAll – Social Login – The Premium Version*
- Social Login
* I have contacted them and they said all the hooks are properly set up.
I have tried all the above with the same results. When you login or register via these the protected content is still protected as if the user wasn’t registered or logged in. The dashboard panel is showing so they are logged in.
When you look under the eMembers section it shows that they are registered members under the default account plus they are also wp users.
When people register via the WP eMember form everything works just fine.
If you guys can create your own social login plugin to work with the emember it would be a huge benefit.
February 16, 2016 at 4:59 am #67962adminKeymasterThe following plugin looks promising so I will try to integrate with that one:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-social-login/
Do you have a site where you have that plugin installed and configured already?
February 16, 2016 at 9:36 pm #67963wondervegasParticipantThat above plugin you recommend is my favorite over all actually. It allows custom usernames which is awesome. I have it activated on the website. Where should I send your super admin privileges to?

or you can use: [https://wondervegas.com/join-us/]
February 17, 2016 at 3:27 am #67964wondervegasParticipantPlus I just tried it again to no avail.
February 17, 2016 at 11:50 pm #67965adminKeymasterI have to do some investigation first (I need to check the code of that other plugin). This is not going to be an instant solution. I will try to sort something out for it.
February 18, 2016 at 11:04 pm #67966wondervegasParticipantOkay, thanks. Would be huge for a lot of people.
