I have the following message from the min. requirements plug-in
IonCube Decoder X
CURL Library checkmark (OK)
PHP Version 5.2.13
I was given this link from DreamHost and they said they don’t install it or support it
http://wiki.dreamhost.com/IonCube_Loader
This looks outside my skill set to be honest, but maybe its not as complicated as it looks.
Suggestions?
Update
I ran an auto-loader that they had dh-phpion.php and it seems to have fixed it (when checking the settings on the plug in)
Now I’m looking for the license key – Thanks

I have had my fair share of bad experience from various hosting companies so I try no to make any comments

Sorry, you won’t be able to use PDF stamper on your server.
April 18, 2011 at 9:04 pm #22568PaulfonzoMemberHi,
I am trying to get PDF Stamper 3.3.3 and WordPress 3.1.1 working on my shared server on 1&1. I have successfully installed IonCube Encoder 4.07. When I run info.php it says:
Linux infong 2.4 #1 SMP Thu Nov 25 01:59:22 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux
using PHP Version 5.2.17
This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2010 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v4.0.7, Copyright (c) 2002-2011, by ionCube Ltd.
When I run minimum requirement checker, I get:
IonCube Decoder red X (not installed)
CURL Library green checkmark (OK)
PHP Version 5.2.17
What do I need to do to get the DECODER installed and/or working. Is it DIFFERENT than the Encoder? Does it require IonCube Encoder to work?
Thanks,
Paul H.

ionCube Loader
April 19, 2011 at 12:38 am #22570amin007ParticipantYou only need the free Ioncube decoder to be installed on your server (you do not need the encoder). You might need to restart Apache for the ioncube decoder to be recognized by the system.
Anyway, it is actually pretty easy to find out if Ioncube is properly installed on your server or not (you don’t have to trust the requirements checker plugin).
Simply download a set of test scripts from here:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-content/uploads/plugins/ioncube/Ioncube-Test-Package.zip
Unzip the folder and you will see that it has two files. The content of the two files are exactly the same except one file is ioncubed and the other is not.
Upload the “ioncubed-version.php” file to your website and access it like the following:
http://www.example.com/uploaded-folder/ioncubed-version.php
If you have ioncube loader installed correctly then the PHP script will run without any error and show the following output in the browser:
Hello World! If Ioncube is working properly on the server then this message will show up fine
If it doesn’t run then you know that the Ioncube is not working correctly. You can even send this to your hosting provider so they can test it out themselves rather than playing the blame game
April 19, 2011 at 1:32 am #22571PaulfonzoMemberHi,
I did as you suggested, put ioncubed-version.php in root, and it ran just fine, got the “Hello World!…” message.
In your message above you said “if you have the ioncube LOADER installed correctly…” , not the DECODER. So I’m still confused. I tried to activate PDF Stamper and continue to get:
“Site error: the file /homepages/31/d110419763/htdocs/newworldview/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/wp_pdf_stamp1.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.”
Again, this error message mentions Ioncube LOADER, not DECODER.
Again, I successfully installed the Ioncube LOADER, but you also said above “you don’t need the ENCODER…”
What do I still need?
Thanks,
Paul H.

April 20, 2011 at 1:11 am #22573PaulfonzoMemberThat’s okay, I feel like I’m very close. I will review those installation instructions and then contact my webhost, 1&1.com. I will report back.
Thanks,
Paul H.
April 20, 2011 at 7:05 pm #22574PaulfonzoMemberI am running on a shared server, so this was another variable. I just finished an hour with tech support at 1&1 and they concluded that there is a problem in THEIR configuration, and will continue to work on it. So I’m just mentioning this for those who may run into similar install problems on a shared host.
Thanks again, and I hope to report back one final time with the plugin finally working.
Cheers,
Paul H.
April 20, 2011 at 7:53 pm #22575PaulfonzoMemberThey got ioncube working, but now for the final activation, I put in the license key and got: “License key is invalid!
Reached Maximum Allowable Domains!”
Please advise!
Thanks,
Paul H.
April 20, 2011 at 8:09 pm #22576PaulfonzoMemberP.S. The license key is registered in the Product License page, but whenever I press Activate, I get the above message.
Moreover, I tried an experiment to see if it would manually stamp a PDF file in an /estore subdirectory and got the following error message:
Help

The URL that you specified in the “URL of the source file” field does not seem to be a valid URL! It seem to be giving a 404 error! Please check this value again:

Is that similar ioncube error the result of PDF Stamper still NOT be properly activated?

April 21, 2011 at 1:11 am #22577amin007ParticipantWe will need to reset your license key. I will send you an email to get site access and check out the manual stamping.
September 26, 2011 at 2:24 pm #22578CarlMemberI am having similiar issues when looking to activate the plugin. I get the following error message:-
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Site error: the file …/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/wp_pdf_stamp1.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.
IonCube Loader wizard reckons it is all installed correctly. I can open the ioncubed-version.php test file in the wp-pdf-stamper directory, yet I am still unable to activate the plugin. Any thoughts on how to fix this?
September 26, 2011 at 10:17 pm #22579wzpModeratorHave you tried the advice, about 9 posts back?
September 27, 2011 at 8:10 pm #22580CarlMemberIf you mean the one that suggests using the test scripts, then yes, which is why I mentioned it in my post. The test script was placed in the wp-pdf-stamper directory and it works but the plugin will not activate.
