I am using eStore with eMember and the affiliate plugin. I want to offer a level of eMember for a one off payment using an eStore Buy Now button. I want to offer a 7day free trial so that the customer goes through to paypal makes the payment but it is not taken for 7days. eMember makes the registration and the customer has access to the contents. The payment will be taken automatically after 7days unless the customer cancels it with paypal. If it is cancelled the registration is automatically voided. What is the best way to achieve this? I know Paypal has a way to authorise payments but how do I achieve this? Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Just set up a subscription product in eStore where the trial billing amount is zero and the trial billing period is 7 days.

Then set the recurring billing amount to whatever you want to charge and the recurring period to 1 day with a recurring billing count of 1.

See the documentation here for setting up a subscription button:

Thanks, Peter. How does the workflow go with this. With a Buy Now button the customer is sent a unique link to go to registration page to sign up in eMember. Does the kind of subscription we are talking about do the same or can it go directly to a member registration page.

Yes, the registration flow will be the same.
