I would like to be able to add people who purchase individual products to a sub-Group on my Mailchimp customer list. Is this possible with eStore? If so, how?
November 29, 2013 at 11:34 pm #49821adminKeymasterWe have added some capability for MailChimp groups. The documentation explains how to use it:

February 8, 2014 at 12:07 am #49822tshombeMemberHi there,
Just wanted to say this worked a charm! Thank you so much for adding the MailChimp groups functionality.
I wondered about how to create the vertical lines between “List Name | Group Name | Groups”, so I just cut-and-pasted your template and filled in my information.
What’s more is it successfully triggered the autoresponder attached to the list. AWESOME!
Thank you.

May 2, 2014 at 1:54 pm #49823jsakalosMemberIs it possible to do the same for eMember?
May 3, 2014 at 3:19 am #49824adminKeymastereMember doesn’t have this option at the moment. If we get a few request for it, we will add it for eMember also.
May 5, 2014 at 5:05 pm #49825arianafMemberI tried using the group setting and I can’t seem to get it to work. I’m using the stylish squeeze form for a free download link to a product that I have set up as product 1. In my product settings under Autoresponder settings I pasted the list name, group ID and group name as directed. I received the free download link by email, but when I went into Mailchimp, my email address was not added to the list at all.
I’m wondering if I have the incorrect settings in the global autoresponder settings if I want to add people to a group who download my free download? What should we have checked and unchecked? I’m assuming we still need the API key, Enable Mailchimp integration checked but leave the “add to global mailing list” unchecked? That is the set up I have, but it’s not working
May 5, 2014 at 5:08 pm #49826arianafMemberNever mind – it worked, it just took several minutes for it to populate in mailchimp (in case anyone else has this issue!) Thank you SO much for adding in the group functionality, it will really make life easier
May 31, 2014 at 9:03 pm #49827Linda BellParticipantHave you created the MailChimp integration for eMember yet? I need this asap – we’re launching our membership site tomorrow and I need to make sure that all the member (paid subscribers) go into the proper group on MailChimp. I need to be able to send them to:
List | Group | Group Name
June 2, 2014 at 9:24 am #49828adminKeymasterThis feature has been added to the membership plugin also.

July 10, 2014 at 4:00 pm #49831jsakalosMemberWe have the following problem:
Let’s say we have two products – A and B. Customer buys product A and gets subscribed to Mailchimp List “Customers” | group “A”. After some time he buys product B and should get subscribed to List “Customers” | group “B”. However Mailchimp API will reject it with the following error message: “(214) List_AlreadySubscribed”. I did a small investigation and it should be possible to just update group if a person is already subscribed (at least in Mailchimp API 2.0). We cannot use different lists for each product, because we must avoid duplicates when sending general campaigns (plus it would be quite clumsy).
Any solution?
July 11, 2014 at 5:52 am #49832adminKeymasterDo you know if API version 2.0 does it automatically or you have to remove the group then re-apply?
July 11, 2014 at 9:37 am #49833jsakalosMemberI’d say this method: “lists/subscribe (string apikey, string id, struct email, struct merge_vars, string email_type, bool double_optin, bool update_existing, bool replace_interests, bool send_welcome)” with bool “update_existing true” and replace_interests configurable (if it is false, group is added – that’s what we need; if true, groups are replaced) in eStore – as let’s say welcome email.
But I’d say the key to all that is “update_existing true”
July 13, 2014 at 3:59 am #49834adminKeymasterokay, I can make that change for sure. One question for you, do you have the “Disable Double Opt-in” checkbox checked?
