I am using paypal sandbox to test purchase.
After I receive email and download file using encrypted link, files seems to be corrupted.
I was unable to open the file using Adobe reader when file is PDF and unable to unzip the file when its a compressed file.
Any idea?

May 3, 2010 at 3:52 am #20289tickquestMemberThank you for the answer.
I don’t think the above post apply to my case. As a test I have tested the file as regular link without encryption, I was able to successfully download and view the file in PDF. The problem occur when I use sandbox to create an order and use the encrypted link from email send from wordpress to download the same file, I seems to be able to download the file but when I try to open downloaded file with Adobe reader, the reader say file is corrupted and was unable to open.
Any other advice?

May 4, 2010 at 6:38 pm #20291tickquestMemberThank you for the answer.
I resolved the issue.
We have two hosting companies that we are using: hostgator and srevint. When I move the test to hostgator download worked perfectly. So I guess it has something to do with version of PHP that are installed at hosting side.

August 1, 2010 at 3:31 am #20295TBucketPlans.comMemberHi, I am having a similar problem. Have been using WP eStore successfully for over 6 months. In last couple days purchasers cannot view or save their downloaded eBooks. In testing encrypted links sent to them they also result in a zero download. The unencrypted link works fine. I also noted when trying to view the PDF that the Adobe Reader message inserts [1] before .pdf.
I have read your other referenced articles and they do not seem to apply. I assume you will send me a site access form. Thanks so much.
August 1, 2010 at 9:54 am #20296wpCommerceModeratorAre you printing your file to a PDF file in a proper adobe way? If it’s not, plugins may not be able to read them and you might find a corrupted file after download.
August 2, 2010 at 1:45 am #20297TBucketPlans.comMemberI can only say that it’s the same file we’ve used for months and which has been opened and saved hundreds of times. Then, a few days ago the problem started. As I noted, when I click on the unencrypted link everything works fine, both opening and saving. Really would appreciate some further advice. Thanks
August 2, 2010 at 2:02 am #20298IvyMemberHave you tried resaving the document and testing that this is still happening? Sometimes a file may become corrupted. Have there been changes to your site around the time this stopped working.
Updated or added plugins?
Changed hosting?
Hosting updated or did maintenance on the server?
August 2, 2010 at 12:11 pm #20299TBucketPlans.comMember1. Yes, have tried with new and different files with same result.
2. We did have a hosting server problem last week. Here is an excerpt of what they said the problem was, “I apologize, but I was forced to suspend the script “/home/m****/public_html/tbucketplans.com/wp-cron.php” as it was causing a high load on the server, and due to it affecting all of the other accounts on the system, I forced to take immediate action for the health of the server.”
This is what they also said they did when they fixed the server problem, “I have gone into your site and configured it properly.
I have added a caching plugin, W3-Total-Cache. I have configured this plugin to run properly as well.
I have also installed WP-DBManager and WP-Optimize plugins. The WP_DBManager not only backs your database up automatically it optimizes your tables automatically as well. This is important to do on a regular basis.
I have enabled your site again and everything appears to be working properly at this time.”
Am using HostGator. Hopefully this information will prove helpful.
Thank you so much again.

September 13, 2010 at 9:56 am #20301artsMemberHello,
I have the same problem.
A .zip file works well when I download it with the regular link but with the encrypted link it downloads but then it says the file is corrupted.
Thanks for your reaction
