Im selling both individual downloads and looking to also offer a paid membership subscription.
A test purchase yesterday worked via ccbill for a individual digital product.
Ive just attempted a test purchase using the same card for a subscription and ive had the following error on the ccbill form:
“You already have an existing membership to this site.”
I noticed yesterday when buying the individual product that ‘(USD for 3 days) was next to the amount. Perhaps it treated the individual product as a 3 day membership by default?
Hi, Is it actually a recurring subscription or one-time payment? By default, CCBill shows “3 days” on the dynamic pricing form (even for a one-time payment). Unfortunately there is no option to change it via API.
I have both options on the site
Videos – one time payment (add to cart)
Join Page – subscription (subscribe button for recurring payments)
Is it possible to have both options?
I contacted ccbill to ask the same question and they said:
“In regards to your site setup, in order to process for both a VOD based model as well as a subscriptions based one, another subaccount would need to be setup to handle this. We can go ahead and get this setup for your account, we would just need the following information.:
– Is the members area on the same URL as the videos?
– (n/a) If not, would you be able to provide the URL of the home page and members areas that the customer will have access to?
– Is your CMS capable of handling logins for a members area and if so, would you be able to advise of what setting it requires to do so?
– If not, do you have another CMS/plugin that would be able to do so?
Once we have some clarification regarding this information, we will be able to assist you further.

So it is using the same domain name, and the CMS (wordpress) with tips and tricks plugins should work? But would be using two sub accounts by the sound of it?
@Admin or @wpCommerce can confirm, but I believe sub accounts are supported.
With regard the above instructions, I have followed everything, including the ‘CCBILL Subscription Setup’ section – would i need to remove this from the current sub account, then re-do all the above settings or just the ‘CCBILL Subscription Setup’ on the new subaccount?
Also, is there anyway to save a customers credit card info so when the checkout, they can auto buy or just add their 3 digit cvc number on the signature strip?
@sm753, I believe you will need to reconfigure the options in your subaccount. The user is redirected to the CCBiLL payment page during checkout. So the plugin can’t really save any credit card information. Besides it’s not a good idea to save credit card information for security purposes. Any website involved with the processing, transmission, or storage of credit card data must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). So it is always a good idea to let the payment gateway handle the card number storage.
Ive created a second sub account within ccbill backend but in the settings for the payment gateway, there is only one field for sub account.
ccbill:
“we would need a secondary sub-account created so that one can manage the member access, while the other manages the shopping cart. This is due to the method of tracking these transactions and the fact we will need to add the multisign feature to the sub-account processing cart based transactions. Multi-Sign allows a consumer to process multiple transactions in a single day, so please feel free to confirm if this will be sub-account 0000 or if you are going to apply the cart to 0001 so that we can apply this properly once created.”
@sm753, Its upto you if you want to create another sub-account. The plugin just needs to know the sub-account number.
But you need one sub account for ‘multi sign’ transactions and another for subscriptions so two sub accounts
One subaccount should be able to handle both single and recurring billing with dynamic pricing.

ccbill support seem adament you need seperate sub accounts. They want to safeguard someone re-billing twice.
I think ill just create a subdomain and put all premium member content on their.
You already have a sub-account right? In that case try setting it up based on this documentation.
Now do a test transaction to see if it works for you (you can also try a recurring payment transaction). If it doesn’t work then let us know and we will investigate it.
yes i have a sub account and followed the above – When using my own personal CC more than once, for a second purchase, it came up with the original ‘You already have an existing membership to this site.’ message.
When using the below test card from ccbill 4444444444446666 on the sub account that ccbill has ‘multisign’ enabled, i’m able to purchase the same subscription more than once and make multiple download purchases –
ccbill list the test card 4444444444446666 as ‘approval’ so is this a true reflection of a real world purchase? How can I tell for sure the test card works?
Just to confirm, CCBILL have stated you can’t sell individual downloads (multi sign) and recurring subscriptions on the same sub account – you need two.
Think Only solution is a subdomain with the membership option and second purchase of the payment gateway
