Hi there,
I have integrated eStore and eMember. Very impressed with your plugins! I purchased a much more expensive membership solution which may have a few more features like content dripping, but I had tonnes of issues with it. So far I’ve found your solution to have all the necessary features without all the hassles.
I do have a couple of questions though. I have created membership products and installed them according to your videos. However, the purchaser is not receiving an email asking them to finalize their registration. What am I missing?
And I found the API Access Key for eStore. How do I use that with Paypal? Paypal want a 3rd Party Username to add the API. Do you have one for Paypal?
Cheers,
Marguerita

“the purchaser is not receiving an email asking them to finalize their registration. What am I missing?”
I think may have already responded to this in a another thread where you asked the same question.
Did you go through the checks in the link I referred to?
ie,
Have you tried sending an email manually from the eMember plugin by going to “Admin Functions” menu and using the “Generate and Email the Registration Completion Link” section?
“And I found the API Access Key for eStore. How do I use that with Paypal? Paypal want a 3rd Party Username to add the API. Do you have one for Paypal?”
What are you trying to achieve with eMember and PayPal?
Do you want to sell memberships with a paypal button?
If so have you read the documentation here:
October 24, 2012 at 2:56 am #50620MargueritavMemberThanks Peter. I’ll check out your previous response. To be honest, I couldn’t find the thread of the post I had asked the question for again! As for eMember and Paypal, I don’t want to use the a Paypal button, I was just looking for anything to improve the integration to make sure it worked. I thought maybe it was necessary for the email being sent, but I’ll check out the threads you’ve suggested.
Thanks, Marguerita
October 25, 2012 at 4:21 am #50621MargueritavMemberI’m so sorry. I’ve been going around in circles and I cannot figure out where I’m going wrong.
I’m still not receiving the email notifications to complete registration and the new member is not getting added to the members list specified. I’ve tested the email as suggested at https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/not-receiving-emails-even-though-the-plugin-sent-the-email and installed the special plugin for emails. All working fine.
And another product upgrades my membership, instead of creating a new membership for the person who purchased.
I’ve enabled IPN, though I’ve just put in my main membership site:
[http://consciouswealthinstitute.com] for the value.
I’m sure the answer is simple and I just can’t see it. Can you please help by interpreting the data and giving me some more suggestions. Thanks.
Cheers,
Marguerita

October 25, 2012 at 4:46 am #50622adminKeymasterThank you for the details. I can see the issue now.
Everything looks good except you have one mistake in your eStore product configuration.
To be more specific, you have missed step 1 of eStore and eMember integration which is the following:
You need to specify the “Membership Level ID” in the eStore product’s “Reference Text” field when you create the eStore product
I am referring to the following documentation.
If you watch the video tutorial from this page it will be clear to you as to how an eStore product can be used as a “Membership Payment” for eMember plugin.
Let me know if that helps.
October 25, 2012 at 6:51 am #50623MargueritavMemberSorry, but I have definitely done this. I’ve checked it over and over. Perhaps the plugin isn’t recognising it, but it is definitely there!
October 25, 2012 at 6:55 am #50624MargueritavMemberOctober 25, 2012 at 6:59 am #50625MargueritavMemberYep. Okay. You got me on that first product. I recreated one of the products today to see if a new one would work and obviously missed that step. Sorry. The others definitely have the reference though and still having the same problems.
October 26, 2012 at 2:28 am #50626adminKeymasterokay I have sent you an email to get site access so I can check all the settings.
October 28, 2012 at 10:22 am #50627MargueritavMemberHi there. I sent you information to grant you access, but I also found where all the emails went. I have a tonne of error messages in my email trash telling me that my husbands email doesn’t exist! Not sure why that is because the address is working perfectly.
But I think this means there is nothing wrong with what I’ve done with the plugin.
Thanks for all your help,
Marguerita
